On December 24, 2025, Tokyo Marui proudly released the first model of their new EVOLT series airsoft guns: the M4A1 Carbine. I had the opportunity to borrow it briefly, so I checked its accuracy.
Used Airsoft gun and Measurement Conditions
Measured Gun: Tokyo Marui EVOLT M4A1 First Batch
BBs Used: Tokyo Marui 0.20 g Plastic BBs

Shooting Range: ASOBIBA Ikebukuro
Distance: Approximately 12m
Sight: Stock iron sights
Muzzle Velocity: 93.6 m/s
Measurement Method
I recorded a single take of a 10-shot grouping.
Results

The 10-shot grouping measured 56.6 mm.
To give you an idea of what this means: with a Next-Gen M4A1 equipped with a proper optic, taking several attempts, you can barely get under 50 mm.
Considering this was done in a single take with iron sights, I felt the accuracy was extremely high.
Looking at the grouping, one shot strayed a bit and dragged the average down—without that outlier, it might have landed in the 30 mm range.
Shooting Feel & Impressions
The body is slim, and the overall rigidity felt very solid.
The operating sound didn’t strike me as particularly quiet.
The trigger pull feels quite heavy—something like “creak… creak… snap.”
Usable for Indoor Games?
I usually play indoor airsoft, but to be honest, I’m not sure this would be ideal indoors.
It lacks a pre-cocking function, which is almost essential in indoor play, so the shot response inevitably feels slow.
I also didn’t feel like it could reliably keep up with rapid tapping.
Indoor fields require a different performance set than target shooting—specifically, instant responsiveness—and this gun felt lacking in that area.
Summary
Extremely high accuracy
Very solid, rigid build
Out-of-the-box stock configuration feels suboptimal for indoor use
